Ardglass Golf Course with its championship standard greens is always in excellent condition. The Course begins with no less then six spectacular holes laid out atop the cliffs directly over-looking the sea - raw, rocky and dramatic. All the holes have stunning views and the golfer can gaze across the sea from every green and every tee-box.

With considerable re-designing and a new 18th hole, Downpatrick can now take its place among the best courses in the country. There are some classic Par 4’s which require long straight hitting, while the Par 3 eleventh, guarded by water ranks with the best short holes in Ireland.

Tournament Conditions 1. The tournament is open to male and female golfers who are members of an affiliated golf club and hold and official handicap, players will have to produce handicap certificates on the first day of the tournament.
2. Play will be 54 holes over three days.
3. Play will be four ball singles scored on stableford points.
4. Draw times will only be confirmed upon payment of entry fee.
5. On the 1st September and on the 1st of each month until August we will draw 7 names fromthose entered. (12 months at 7 players totalling 84places). Names drawn will be guaranteed a place on Friday's visitors day, all other visitors can qualify through play in the Heart of Down.
6. If a player wishes to cancel their entry they will be entitled to a 80% refund if we are told in writing by the 1st July, 50% if before 31st July and please note that no refund will be made available after the 31st July.
7. Change of name must be made in writing to office@posnettgolf.com. If a name changed, place at Royal County Down will be lost and go on the waiting list.
8. All players must be over 18 years on the 1st day of the tournament.
9. The tournament committee reserves the right to alter the tournament conditions at any time, without recourse to the players.
